Together with the Adult Education Centre (VHS) Region Lüneburg, elan e.V. is contributing to the implementation of the ESF-funded conceptual development project “DigiZ – Digitisation of the Z-Courses”. Over a two-year development phase, the preparatory courses for the university entrance examination (“Z-Kurse”) are being transformed into a blended-learning format. These courses are part of adult education and aim to prepare participants for the subject-specific university entrance qualification obtained through an admission examination. A typical Z-course runs for around ten months.

The goal of the DigiZ project is to develop a blended-learning prototype based on the previous, predominantly classroom-based Z-courses. For the online components, the Stud.IP courseware plugin plays a central role. It enables the creation and delivery of interactive, multimedia learning modules. The content is digitally prepared in this format in collaboration with instructors for the subjects German, English, Mathematics, Biology and Academic Writing (introduction to academic work).

Lecturers can expand and deepen their skills concerning the technical and didactic use of digital media through various workshop formats.

The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The project duration ends in January 2021.
